The Royer Group

Charley Royer is the former three-term Mayor of Seattle and the President of our sister organization, the Institute for Community Change (ICC). Previously he was National Program Director for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Urban Health Initiative. Charley began his career in newspaper and television journalism. During his twelve years as mayor, he became a national spokesman for American cities in housing, the arts, health care, energy, civil liberties and the needs of children and youth. From 1990 to 1994, he served as Director of the Institute of Politics at Harvard University and as a Lecturer at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
